உடையாரை ஒரு வழியாக படித்து முடித்து விட்டேன். எழுத்துப் பிழைகளும், வர்ணனைப் பிழைகளும், பெயர் பிழைகளும் இருந்தாலும், கதை மிக அழகாக அமைந்திருக்கிறது. ஒரு சில இடங்களில் மிகையான நடை இலேசாக கசந்தது..இராஜராஜனும் இன்னும் பல மன்னர்களும் சேர்ந்து வளர்த்து கொடுத்த தமிழையும், தமிழ் கலாச்சாரத்தையும் இன்று நாம் அழித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறோமோ என்ற ஒரு சிறு கவலையும் வந்து கவ்விக் கொள்கிறது!
இந்த வலைப்பூவில் அடிக்கடி பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று எண்ணம் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். எதைப் பற்றி எழுதலாம், என்னென்ன எழுதலாம் என்று அன்பர்கள் idea கொடுத்தால் நன்றாக இருக்கும்! :) ஆகையால், வாசகர்களே, இன்று போய் நாளை வந்து இந்த வலைப்பதிவை அடிக்கடி பார்க்கவும்...

Sorry to go off the topic, but where can I get Udaiyar from? I mean online PDF version.
I am very interested (despite having doubts about Balakumaran's way of handling things...), but could not get any online version of the book.
After reading Ponniyin Selvan, can't stop making a comparision with present day politics.
Sundar Cholan - Karunanidhi (old, veteran but still the ruler!)
Karikalan - Mu.Ka. Alagiri - (Anjaa Nenchan for admirers, but still not much loved like his younger brother)
Arul Mozhi Varman - Mu.Ka. Stalin - younger sibling, but still got more reach than his elder brother.
(No, I dont mean Stalin is Arulmozhi, just a comparison)
Kundavai - Kanimozhi - sister of stalin & alagiri
Madurandhaga Devar - Vai.Ko. Once part of the party but actually belongs enemy camp.
Nandhini - Jeya? Have the vengence against Karuna &Sons
Periya Paluvettaraiyar - Ramdoss? Alliance with Karuna, but can work with Jeya as well. And Karunanidhi can't take a decision without Ramdoss's support. Same like Ponniyin selvan.
Maha mandri Anirudhar - Anbalagan? Respected by every one, but dont have much of role to play.
Can't find any equivalents for the hero Vandhiya Devan and 2nd hero Alvarkadiyan.

i came to know about Udayar from your previous blogs only and i am done with the first book, but i felt that balakumaran's touch was really un-necessary to this type of historic novel, but couldnt stop myself from appreciating him for the choice of such a theme as a novel, if we dont concentrate on his writing but let our imaginations free flow i was enjoying it as i could dream Poniyin Selvan and place myself as Vandiyadevan :-D ..
thanx for introduction to this book.. but keep writing .. hmmmm, not about Aanmeegam, already priya is working a lot on it ;-) , so why dont you start noticing very petty things in our day to day life and write about them by looking at them in a very different perspective.. give a try, it would turn very ineteresting,but do write in this blog in tamil, not in english :-D

it's really nice to read the articles and the comments... the comparision of ponniyin selvan with the karunna and his family is nice.. i hope you will not put him (karuna) in pretty high position as all the politicians are same.. keep roking gentle man... i expect the in future... god less you..
